The Lafourche Parish School Board (Parish), which is the ex officio tax collector for various political subdivisions of Lafourche Parish, appeals a summary judgment rendered against it and in favor of R & B Falcon Drilling USA., Inc. (R & B Falcon). In the judgment, the trial court ordered Lafourche to refund taxes paid, together with interest and costs.
