BISHOP, J.

The defendant, William S. Madore, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of one count of sexual assault in the second degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-71(a)(1) and two counts of delivering liquor to a minor in violation of General Statutes § 30-86. The defendant claims that the court improperly granted the state's motion to consolidate his case with that of his brother, Roland G. Madore.
