Justice SUTTELL, for the Court.

The defendant, Jack Ruffner, appeals from a Superior Court judgment of conviction entered after a jury found him guilty of murder in the second degree. The trial justice's refusal to instruct the jury on the lesser-included offense of voluntary manslaughter forms the basis of the defendant's appeal. The defendant also contends that the trial justice committed reversible error by excluding a 911 dispatch report as evidence...
