COOKS, Judge.

The Defendant, John Thompson, III, was charged with illegal carrying of weapons, in violation of La.R.S. 14:95(E). Defendant entered a plea of not guilty. A jury returned a verdict of guilty, and Defendant was sentenced to seven years at hard labor, to be served without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence. Defendant filed a Motion to Reconsider Sentence, which was denied.
