STATEMENT OF CASE

On May 7, 2004, Thomas Hunter was charged with one count of simple possession of cocaine. At his arraignment on June 3, 2004, he pled not guilty. The court heard and denied his motion to suppress the evidence on August 3, 2004. On September 2, 2004, a six-person jury found Hunter guilty as charged. On September 23, 2004, the court sentenced Hunter to serve four years at hard labor. The court also denied his motions...
