Dr. Harry Meyer Katz was charged in a 192-count indictment with attempted or actual distribution of Schedule III and IV controlled substances outside of the scope of medical practice and not for a legitimate medical purpose in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 846 and 841(a)(1). Each count of the indictment related to a single prescription written by Dr. Katz for various controlled substances, including Xanax, Darvocet, Alprazolam, Vicodin...
