A Cobb County jury found Michael Mattis guilty of aggravated assault and aggravated battery. On appeal, Mattis claims that the trial court erred in allowing victim impact evidence during the guilt/innocence phase of the trial, and in allowing impeachment of his character based on a pending charge.
