¶ 1 VERGERONT, J.

Rick Jackson appeals an order of the circuit court dismissing, sua sponte, his petition for review of a decision of the Labor and Industry Review Commission (LIRC). The circuit court concluded that Jackson's petition did not state the nature of his interest, facts showing he was aggrieved, and the grounds on which the agency decision should be reversed or modified, as required by WIS. STAT. § 227.53(1)(b)(2003-04).1
