WRIT GRANTED. Defendant was found guilty of distribution of heroin for an offense committed in May 1999. The trial court sentenced him to life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of probation or suspension of sentence. See La. R.S. 40:966(B)(1) (prior to amendment by 2001 La. Acts No. 403, § 4). This Court affirmed the conviction and sentence. State v. Dick, 2001-0837 (La.App. 1st Cir.2/15/02), 812 So.2d 152 (unpublished), writ denied...
