The defendant, Edward Vashey (defendant), appeals a ruling of the Superior Court denying a motion to vacate his Alford plea to second-degree child molestation. The defendant argues that his plea should be set aside because he was not informed that he would be required to register as a sex offender for the duration of his fifteen-year probation as a consequence of his plea.
