Defendant, Aaron Houston, was charged with armed robbery in violation of section 5/18-2(a) of the Criminal Code of 1961. 720 ILCS 5/18-2(a) (West 2002). Defendant was found guilty of this charge after a jury trial. The circuit court of Peoria County sentenced defendant to 20 years.
