Pursuant to a plea agreement, the defendant entered a guilty plea to a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a violation of La.R.S. 14:95.1. The trial court subsequently sentenced the defendant to twelve and one-half years at hard labor, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. The trial court ordered the sentence to run concurrently with any other sentences that the defendant was serving. The defendant appeals...
