We originally granted writs in favor of the defendant-relator, Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government (LCG), finding that the trial court erred in denying summary judgment in its favor as no genuine issue of material fact existed with regard to the knowledge element in the plaintiffs' claims against it.
