In this appeal, we clarify whether dual convictions can be obtained for kidnapping and murder when the convictions arise from a single course of conduct. We conclude that in a kidnapping case arising from a single course of conduct, the seizure, restraint, or movement of a victim may substantially exceed that required to complete the associated crime charged.
