SHARER, J.

Following a jury trial, in the Circuit Court for Prince George's County, appellant, Robin Tyronne Cathcart, was found guilty of first degree assault, second degree assault, and false imprisonment.1 After merging the two assault convictions, appellant was sentenced to ten years in prison for first degree assault. For the false imprisonment conviction, he received a consecutive life sentence, with all but ten years suspended....
