Davis Gulf Coast, Inc. ("Davis") appeals the trial court's judgment declaring Anderson Exploration Co., Inc. ("Anderson") to be the owner of a 25% working interest and a 19¼% interest in certain mineral leases as of May 15, 2001. Arguing in the alternative, Davis appeals the trial court's choice of a penalty provision as a result of Anderson default under its Joint Operating Agreement with Davis.
