McCLENDON, J.

Defendant, Michael Kelly, was charged by grand jury indictment with second degree murder, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30.1. Defendant pled not guilty and was tried before a jury. The jury found defendant guilty. The trial court sentenced defendant to a term of life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.
