Petitioner, the State of Indiana, sought reimbursement from Respondent, Travis Atchison, for fifty percent of certain medical expenses incurred by Atchison's son, K.T.P.2 Following an April 22, 2005 hearing, the trial court concluded on August 22, 2005 that some of the expenses at issue did not qualify as "birthing expenses" and thus denied the State the full reimbursement it requested.
