On July 27, 2005, the Vermilion County circuit court granted defendant Richard Powell's motion to dismiss plaintiff Bruce Andrews's verified petition for election contest and recount. The court also denied Andrews's two motions to amend his petition and his motion for a recount on the pleadings. Andrews appeals the court's ruling as to each of the four motions.
