¶ 1 Petitioner Susan Gipson is the surviving parent of decedent Nathan Followill. Gipson filed a wrongful death action against defendant Larry Kasey pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes ("A.R.S.") sections 12-612 and -613 (2003), alleging that Kasey negligently caused Followill's death by furnishing prescription Oxycontin pills to Followill. The trial court granted Kasey's motion for summary judgment, from which Gipson appeals...
