MELLOY, Circuit Judge.

The district court granted summary judgment for the defendants regarding their denial of the plaintiff's claim for disability benefits. We reverse and remand.

I. Background

James Seitz was a Senior Professional Sales Representative for Merck & Co., Inc. ("Merck"). While working at Merck, Seitz was diagnosed with spinal impairments including spondylosis and degenerative disc disease as well as depression.
