This is an appeal from the 1998 Tattnall County jury conviction of Anthony Pugh, a state inmate, for obstruction of a correctional officer.

In April 1999, Pugh, pro se, filed an extraordinary motion for new trial requesting that counsel be appointed to represent him on an out-of-time motion for new trial and any ensuing appeal.
