Jerry Dickey entered into an exclusive ten-year agreement with Clipper Petroleum, Inc. (Clipper) to supply his new service station with gasoline. After Dickey stopped ordering his gasoline from Clipper, the latter sued to enforce the agreement. A jury later awarded Clipper nearly $280,000 in damages and litigation costs.
