Helen Marie Mason rented land in Smokecreek Community from Chateau Communities, Inc., upon which she lived in a mobile home that she owned. She sued Chateau for premises liability damages resulting from a rape, asserting that the landlord breached its duty of care to keep the premises safe from reasonably foreseeable unlawful acts.
