Following a jury trial, Leonard Jackson was found guilty of premeditated murder and the unlawful possession of a firearm.1 The centerpiece of the Commonwealth's evidence at trial was Jackson's confession and, to a lesser extent, the content of a series of false statements made to police over several days leading up to it.
