Plaintiff K.S. Finance Corporation (KSFC or plaintiff) commenced this action pursuant to an expedited procedure provided by CPLR 3213 (summary judgment in lieu of complaint) to recover on two checks in the sums of $8,000 and $6,000 dated November 14 and 15, 2005, respectively. (See motion, exhibit A.) Defendant opposes the motion.
