This appeal arises out of a dispute over whether Defendants-Appellants Dana D. Doran and Michael P. Doran (collectively referred to as the Dorans or Defendants) are obligated to pay homeowners' assessments to Plaintiff-Appellee Kaanapali Hillside Homeowners' Association (KHHA or Plaintiff).
