On September 2, 2000, Jason Freeman was involved in a motor vehicle accident and was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) were he claims he sustained further injuries as a result of the UMMC staff's negligence. Freeman sent UMMC a notice of claim on September 19, 2002, and filed a complaint on January 14, 2003. UMMC filed a motion to dismiss claiming that the suit should be barred by the one year...
