Appellant-defendant Indiana Department of Correction (DOC) appeals from the trial court's entry of judgment in favor of appellee-plaintiff Sharon Batchelor.1 In particular, the DOC contends that the trial court erred in finding that it breached a contractual duty to Ronald Batchelor, Sharon's deceased husband.
