On November 19, 2002, a jury rendered a verdict in this case in favor of plaintiff Lou DiBella on his claim that he had been libeled by defendant Bernard Hopkins in statements published in an Internet boxing magazine. The jury awarded DiBella $610,000. The jury rejected DiBella's other libel claims as well as claims by DiBella and his company, DiBella Entertainment, Inc., for quantum meruit. See DiBella...
