This case may have added interest because the defendant introduced evidence concerning battered woman's syndrome as part of her duress defense. Otherwise, this appeal is unremarkable. The appellant, Keshia Cherie Ashford Dixon, was convicted of one count of receiving a firearm while under indictment and eight counts of making a false statement to purchase a firearm.
