Catherine Slivo (Slivo) appeals two orders of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County (trial court) that changed the starting date of her disability pension from that established by the City of Pittsburgh Municipal Pension Fund (Fund). Slivo contends that her benefits should have started the day her application form was filed with the Fund and not, as the trial court held, the day she proved the existence of a total and permanent disability...
