Following an adjudicatory hearing, the minor, Willie W., was adjudicated a delinquent minor, after pleading guilty to aggravated criminal sexual assault (720 ILCS 5/12-14(b)(I) (West 2002)). Thereafter, he was sentenced to an indeterminate term in the Department of Corrections, Juvenile Division, and was required to register as a sex offender. On appeal, Willie contends that the State failed to exercise due diligence...
