The plaintiff, Randy Davis, was injured as a result of an accident arising out of and in the course of his employment with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (Goodyear). Davis was able to continue working at Goodyear, but with physical restrictions, and he filed a petition for workers' compensation benefits.
