Defendant and the victim were weekend guests at the apartment of Gina Hansen in the City of Albany. Hansen, concerned about defendant's possession of illegal drugs, asked him to leave. He packed some of his belongings and left, but later returned, became agitated, brandished a knife and refused to leave.
