The State appeals from an order granting Keith E. Williams a new trial. Williams moves to extend the time for filing a notice of cross-appeal. We conclude that because Williams initiated postconviction proceedings under WIS. STAT. RULE 809.30 (2003-04),1 the time for filing a notice of cross-appeal may be extended.
