In this appeal, this Court must decide whether the United States Supreme Court opinion in Lawrence v. Texas, 539 U.S. 558, 123 S.Ct. 2472, 156 L.Ed.2d 508 (2003) renders North Carolina's crime against nature statute, N.C. Gen.Stat. § 14-177, unconstitutional. For the reasons stated herein, it did not.
