STREIT, Justice.

A public relations firm fired a pregnant employee after she asked about maternity leave. The employee sued. She claimed unlawful discrimination, breach of contract, fraud, and violations of the overtime-pay provisions of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. She later attempted to amend her petition to add a wrongful discharge claim. The district court dismissed the entire suit on the firm's motion for summary judgment and denied the employee's request...
