Appellant Rick Gibson appeals from his involuntary commitment to the Arkansas State Hospital. This case began when Mr. Gibson was charged with third-degree domestic battery, second offense, a Class D felony, which offense allegedly occurred on November 7, 2001. Specifically, Mr. Gibson was charged with causing physical injury to his wife by striking and kicking her during an argument at their home. Mr. Gibson underwent a mental health examination...
