A jury found appellant Luis Angel Aviles guilty of retaliation for threatening to kill a prosecutor. See Tex. Pen.Code Ann. § 36.06(a) (West Supp.2004-05). The district court assessed punishment at twenty years' imprisonment. In a single point of error, appellant contends that the district court erred in admitting the testimony of an interpreter, appointed by the court for a different criminal proceeding...
