In 1985, the Shamattas gave Cablevision of Boston, Inc. (Cablevision), which was then constructing its network of circuits in the South End section of Boston, written permission to attach wires and equipment to the back of their apartment building at 627 Tremont Street. Those wires and equipment became the conduit for service availability to roughly 400 residential units, some at the Shamattas' apartment...
