OPINION

JOHNSON, J., delivered the opinion of the Court, joined by MEYERS, PRICE, WOMACK, HOLCOMB, and COCHRAN, JJ.

This is a post-conviction application for a writ of habeas corpus filed pursuant to Tex.Code Crim. P. Article 11.07. In 1991, a jury convicted applicant of aggravated sexual assault of a child (Tex. Pen.Code § 22.021(a)(1)(B)) and assessed punishment at thirty years' imprisonment. The conviction was affirmed on appeal.
