¶ 1 Alfred Giovanelli was a firebrick mason brought to Seattle by Ball-Foster Glass Container Company, a subsidiary of St. Gobain Corporation, to work on rebuilding a glass furnace. One Sunday when he was not working, Giovanelli set out to listen to music in a park near his hotel. On the way, he was hit by a car and gravely injured.
