These consolidated cases arise pursuant to our diversity jurisdiction, 28 U.S.C. § 1332, as a result of an industrial accident suffered by appellants Armando Méndez-Laboy ("Méndez") and Gilberto Olavarría-Carrillo ("Olavarría").
