A month after Gary W. Petersen was sworn in as a member of the Des Moines City Council, a for-profit corporation named Citizens for Des Moines, Inc., and its president Allan Furney filed this lawsuit seeking to have Petersen removed from office based on a conflict of interest under RCW 42.23.030.
