The Defendant, John Goetchius, pleaded guilty on June 7, 2004 to possession of a firearm by a felon in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). This order addresses whether Mr. Goetchius's two prior convictions for indecent assault and battery are "related" under U.S.S.G. § 4A1.2(a)(2).1 The resolution of this issue affects Mr. Goetchius's Guideline range of sentence in two ways...
