Appellant Kevin McKenzie was convicted of possession of marijuana and cocaine with intent to deliver and was sentenced to a total of sixty years' imprisonment. The court of appeals certified McKenzie's appeal to this court because the appeal presents an issue needing clarification or development of the law regarding the constructive possession of contraband.
