C.M. appeals the trial court's order terminating her parental rights in C.B. (date of birth 01/16/03). As a preliminary matter, it is necessary to address the issue of whether the State must file a verified brief in this termination of parental rights case. The State argues that the verification requirement of K.S.A. 38-1591(e) only applies to appellants. We agree.
