Matthew Tortoso is the son of the policyholders, and was employed part-time at a bar known as "Le Bar Bat" as a banquet assistant. Six former female employees of the bar brought a federal lawsuit alleging sexually and, in some cases, racially discriminatory treatment by the bar and various of its employees.
