¶ 1 Seattle's Art in Public Works Construction ordinance, chapter 20.32 SMC, requires City Light and other city departments to allocate one percent of the budgets for their capital construction projects within Seattle for the support of public art. From 2000 to 2003, the City spent almost $3 million of City Light moneys on projects as varied as Salmon in the City, Urban Collaborations, Skagit Streaming, and the Wave Rave Cave.
